The latest video of the YouTube series "Kids React" features "In a Heartbeat," the gay-themed animated short that went viral last month.

With nearly 28 million views, "In a Heartbeat" became an Internet sensation when it debuted four weeks ago. The clip is about a young boy who has a crush on a fellow male classmate but is too anxious to reveal his feelings to him.

When the handful of young children were shown the clip, many responded with adorable commentary:

"It's not that they're best dudes, it's more than that!" one girl says. "It's basically love."

"I think it's awesome they can portray something so amazing without saying any words," another girl adds.

Later on in the clip, the producers ask the kids if it's appropriate to show "In a Heartbeat" to children.

"It's really nice to see cartoons like that, and I want them to make more so they can know it's okay to be gay or lesbian, because that's fine," one kid says.

"Boys can like boys, girls can like girls. We just wanna be ourselves. It doesn't matter what people tell you what to be. You can be whatever you want," another adds.

The Kids React video itself has gone on to earn a number of views. As of this writing, the clip has over 1.3 million hits.
