Watch: Out Pro-Wrestler Anthony Bowens and Boyfriend Explain How they Met

Professional wrestler and WWE star Anthony Bowens came out as bisexual last year after appearing in his boyfriend's YouTube video. After opening up about his decision to come out earlier this year, the athlete is again sitting next to his partner, Michael Pavano, to explain how the men first met.

"A lot of people message us and they ask us questions and one of the most common ones is 'How did we meet?' Well, it's far from a fairytale," Bowens explains.

He goes on to say he stumbled on Pavano's Instagram while he was still in the closet but decided to slip into his DMs anyway. But he got some bad news: Pavano was in a relationship.

"I was in a very toxic relationship with this guy and it was actually the last break we took before we made it official that it was over, and that's when I met [Bowens] and instantly was attracted to him," Pavano said.

Bowens said Pavano's ex-boyfriend messaged him, asking him to not talk to him again.

"So I deleted him and I wanna say like three months later, I get a friend request from Michael," the athlete said. "And I was like, 'Oh this kid again... should I delete him or accept?' But he was too cute so I hit accept, and we started talking, and he explained to me what had happened, and how he was finally free, and we decided that we should hang out."

The men later met at a bar for Pavano's birthday, where they "instantly clicked." They went out on another date on the beach where Pavano recalled, "That day I knew this is the guy that I can see myself with."
