Soccer Star Robbie Rogers Marries Partner Greg Berlanti

Soccer star Robbie Rogers married his partner Hollywood producer Greg Berlanti earlier this month.

The men tied the knot on Dec. 2 in Malibu, Calif. but there aren't many details about the ceremony, the Huffington Post reports. Rogers, 30, shared an emotional Instagram of the couple in tuxedos, holding hands with their son.

"Still recovering from the most emotional beautiful day, exceeding any dream I ever had," he wrote. "To marry the man I love in front of all of my loved one's was not something I grew up thinking would ever happen.

"Thank you to the men and women who made this day possible," Rogers added.

Berlanti, 45, also shared a photo from the ceremony, adding his own moving caption.

"Thank you to the friends and family that inspired and encouraged us and those the witnessed the sometimes weepy but wonderful celebration," he wrote. "Thank you to the women and men that made this a legal reality.

"Thank you to those who have reached out with warm wishes," he added. "Here we are with the real star of the wedding and 'Gordon' his fav supporting actor from Thomas the Train."

Rogers revealed in November that he was retired from the Los Angeles Galaxy.
