"RuPaul's Drag Race" fan favorite Katya revealed on an Instagram live post Monday she's taking a hiatus from drag, Billboard reports.
"I'm a language student first, an artist second, a drag queen third. Health is the most important thing for me," she told her 1.1 million followers.
Billboard notes Katya, 35, made her announcement while speaking in French, which was later translated on Reddit.
"I'm ok. I'm not dying because I want to live," the statement reads. "But I need to take vacations, like a normal person. The people who are listening will understand, can understand. And that's all I wanted to say, that's all."
Katya, who has been open about her drug addiction in the past, explained she's still sober.
"I don't have a drug crisis right now, because I'm sober," she said. "I'm taking care of myself today. And that is the reason why I'm happy."
The performer also deleted her Twitter account.
Nevertheless, fellow drag queens and fans have taken to social media to show support for Katya.
Katya appeared on Season 7 of "Drag Race," placing 5th and being voted Miss Congeniality by fans. She also was on the second season of "RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars," placing as runner-up to winner Alaska Thunderfuck.
