Watch: This Deleted 'SNL' Skit for 'My Little Stepchildren' is Brilliant & Queer
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
"Saturday Night Live" shared a skit of a twisted ad called "My Little Stepchildren," featuring Natalie Portman. The twisted American Doll parody never made it to air on last week's episode, which Portman hosted for some inexplicable reason since it's flat-out hilarious and completely inclusive.
Penned by "SNL" writer Julio Torres, the skit imagines the perfect dolls for kids who have the "instinct to go dark. Why not embrace it?" a voiceover in the fake ad says.
"I bought my kid a doll and I asked her, 'Lisa, are you her mommy?'" Portman says in the clip. "And she said, 'Mommy? Where's the drama in that? I'm her wicked stepmommy."
The My Little Stepchild comes with "tiny cardboard birth certificate kids can lock inside an ornate chest of drawers," the voiceover says.
"My Little Stepchildren are perfect for kids with a flair for the dramatic! They'll love staging a scene where the little stepchildren get sent away to boarding school," the voiceover says.
Portman's husband, played by "SNL" actor Beck Bennett, asks about the doll's father.
"I guess it's a handsome widower named Richard," Portman says.
"So our daughter is married to this guy?" he asks.
"Not for the right reasons," Portman says with a glare.
The parody clip goes on to feature a young boy, with the voice-over saying, "Both girls and boys can menacingly reveal their big gorgeous engagement ring to their stepchildren."
"I won! I got your daddy wrapped around my finger," the boy says.
