PopUps: You Won't Recognize Christina Aguilera on the Cover of Paper Magazine

Christian Aguilera looks unrecognizable on the cover of Paper magazine's latest issue.

For the piece, called "Christina Aguilera Is Back With a New Transformation," the pop star goes makeup-free as she reflects on her two-decade career.

"[New artists] don't have as much backlash when they come out on the scene. And I did. It was a controversial time for me," Xtina said.

Later on, she offers advice for up-and-coming musicians.

"Be fearless in breaking new boundaries and don't be afraid to go against the grain of criticism along the way," she said.

Aguilera also talks about her longtime support of the LGBTQ community, explaining to Paper why she's been a big ally.

"These are people who I grew up with and who are brilliant, talented and strong that deserve for their voice to be heard and fought for, as well," she said.

The piece comes just days after the "Beautiful" singer served as "RuPaul's Drag Race" Season 10's first guest judge.
