Watch: 'Call Me By Your Name' Star Timothee Chalamet Appears in New Film 'Beautiful Boy'

The trailer for the upcoming film "Beautiful Boy," starring "Call Me By Your Name" actor Timothee Chalamet, has hit the Internet.

The film is based on two memoirs: David Sheff's "Beautiful Boy: A Father's Journey Through His Son's Addiction" and "Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines," by Sheff's son, Nic Sheff. In the film, released by Amazon Studios, Chalamet will play Nic, an honor student and athlete whose life begins to spiral after becoming addicted to meth. Nic's father David is played by Steve Carell.

"Beautiful Boy" is directed by Felix Van Groeningen with Brad Pitt producing.

Chalamet was nominated for an Acadmey Award of Best Actor this year for "Call Me By Your Name." "Beautiful Boy" has already generated Oscar buzz. In an early awards piece, Vulture's Kyle Buchanan writes, "Timothee Chalamet ought to be a strong Best Supporting Actor contender as Steve Carell's drug-addicted son in 'Beautiful Boy.'"
