Kathy Griffin Slams Ivanka Trump Over Spade Tweet: 'You're All Talk Feckless'

Kathy Griffin took issue with Ivanka Trump's tweet about designer Kate Spade, who was found dead in her New York City apartment from an apparent suicide Tuesday.

Several celebrities shared their condolences about Spade's death on social media. Among them was first daughter Trump, who wrote the designer's "tragic passing is a painful reminder that we never truly know another's pain or the burden they carry."

"If you are struggling with depression and contemplating suicide, please, please seek help," she added.

Griffin re-tweeted Trump's tweet and added her own take.

"You're all talk feckless, you're all talk," the comedian wrote, later adding in a separate tweet, "If someone is feckless does that mean they have no feck? So when it comes to Ivanka can I say she's all talk and no feck?"

Of course, the use of the word "feckless" has been in the national consciences lately, thanks to late night show host Samantha Bee, who made headlines last week after calling Trump a "feckless [c-word]" on her "Full Frontal" show. During the controversy, Griffin urged Bee not to apologize for her remarks.

Nevertheless, Bee said that her language was "inappropriate and inexcusable."

"I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it," she added.

Griffin was honored Tuesday by the city of West Hollywood, Calif. for her LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS activism and fundraising. At the ceremony, the comedian honored Spade, dressing in head-to-toe in the late designer's apparel.
