Is Andy Cohen Dating John Mayer? TV Host Addresses Rumors

Andy Cohen is addressing rumors that he's dating musician John Mayer.

During his 50th birthday special episode of "Watch What Happens Live!," Cohen received a serenade from Mayer (an acoustic cover of Diana Ross's 1979 song "It's My House"), which sparked rumors the two men were more than just friends.

"I feel like I know your body too," Cohen said after thanking Mayer, 40, for the intimate performance.

"Do you think people wonder if we're in a secret relationship? We get a lot of nods from behind the bar," the singer said.

After speculation that the two are an item, Cohen spoke with CNN to put the rumors to rest.

"Listen, we have a very sweet friendship, and we are together all the time," he said. "I think that I was not surprised because we also have a great love for each other. So, it just seems like the obvious assumption."

When directly asked if Mayer and Cohen are dating, the "Real Housewives" producer confirmed they're not in a relationship. Cohen was then asked what he's looking for in a partner.

"Someone who is like John Mayer. Just kidding. What am I looking for? I'm looking for someone strong, independent, smart, who has their own thing going on," he told CNN, adding that he wants "someone to have their own thing going on. I don't care, I'm not looking for someone who is in entertainment."

Later in the interview, Cohen was asked who the last five people he called are.

"My executive producer, John Hickey, the actor, Facetime last night with John Mayer at two in the morning, Liza, an old friend and my friend, Lynn, who is a producer at ABC News," he confessed. "I was her intern when I worked at CBS. We are still very close friends."
