Carson Kressley Clarifies His 'Queer Eye' Comments

Carson Kressley is clarifying comments he made about Netflix's rebooted "Queer Eye" after some wondered if he was shading the new iteration of the popular makeover show.
Kressley, who was the original Fab Five's fashion guru, insisted he was not making a jab at the new "Queer Eye" cast.
"I loved being a part of the original 'Queer Eye,' and I love the reboot," the "RuPaul's Drag Race" judge told People magazine. "When I said the original was more groundbreaking it only meant that the original aired in an era when there was far less representation of gay people on television."
He added: "We have come a long way and I am very proud to have passed the torch to the wonderful and talented new cast."
It was reported earlier this week that Kressley made some questionable comments during an Emmys event.
"I'm thrilled that they're nominated, but it was a little more groundbreaking back when we won an Emmy in 2004," he said of the new "Queer Eye" series, according to Variety.
