The first trailer for Disney's highly anticipated "Mary Poppins Returns" has finally hit the internet.

Starring Emily Blunt as the titular nanny, "Mary Poppins Returns" is being billed as a new original musical and sequel to the classic 1964 film that starred Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke. Disney writes the new film finds Mary Poppins helping "the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss."

"Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light-and life-to the streets of London," Disney adds.

Directed by Rob Marshall ("Chicago") and written by David Magee ("Life of Pi"), "Mary Poppins Returns" also stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, Emily Mortimer, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury, Julie Walters, and Van Dyke.

"Mary Poppins Returns" hits theaters on Dec. 25. Check out the trailer below.
