Watch: Female Contestants on 'The Bachelor: Vietnam' Leave Show for Each Other
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
This surprising turn of events on "The Bachelor: Vietnam" felt like a moment out of "UnREAL."
Two female contestants on the reality dating show, who were vying for the attention of bachelor Nguyen Quoc Trung, decided to leave the show because they fell for each other, Variety reports.
The shocking moment came during the rose ceremony – where the bachelor hands out roses to the women he wants to continue seeing. If you don't get a rose, you're off the show and out of the competition. After Trung handed out the roses, Minh Thu and Truc Nhu decided to leave the show for each other.
"I went into this competition to find love, but I've found that love for myself. It isn't you; it's someone else," a crying Thu said before turning to fellow contestant Nhu.
The women embraced and Thu, who did not get a rose, asked Nhu to leave the show with her.
"Come home with me," she said several times until Nhu walked off the steps and agreed to go with her.
Trung pleaded with Nhu to stay.
"I want to ask you, if you decided this, would you feel regretful?" he asked. "This doesn't change my decision. I'm not going to give this rose to anyone else. You only get one chance in this life, and you need to take it. Only you and not anyone else."
"I'm sorry. I really want to get to know you because you're someone who made me feel special, and I haven't felt that way in a long time," Nhu said.
Variety reports, however, it doesn't appear as though the women are still together. According to a screenshot obtained by the website NextShark, Nhu can be seen embracing Trung after she re-accepts his rose.
"After talking to Trung, I've changed my mind to accept this rose and continue this journey," she said.
