Did a Queer Person Just Win 'Big Brother 20'?
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
[Warning: Spoilers for the "Big Brother 20" finale, including who won, are below.]
After 99 days and 40 episodes, the winner of "Big Brother 20" was crowned Wednesday night -- and a queer person was poised to make the show's history.
The remaining three houseguests going into the finale were Tyler Crispen, Kaycee Clark and JC Mounduix. Both Clark and Mounduix identify as gay, making the final three mostly queer.
But did Clark or Mounduix pull out a win?
Clark won the final Head of Household competition and sent Mounduix to the jury. Nevertheless, Clark pulled out a win, beating Crispen by a 5-4 jury vote.
Clark became the first openly lesbian winner in "Big Brother" history and the first openly queer woman of color to win the long-lasting CBS reality show. She's also the second woman to win over a man in the final two.
The last out houseguest to take home the $500,000 grand prize was Andy Herren, who won "Big Brother 15" back in 2013.
