NSFW: Straight Porn Star Rebecca More Talks About Becoming a Gay Internet Icon

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Gay men may be familiar with British porn star Rebecca More not because of her profession but because she's become an Internet sensation over the last month.

Gay fans of the straight porn star have created several memes from her videos posted on Twitter, most notably her phrase #CockDestroyers. Thankfully, More, 38, is having a good time with it all and spoke with the BBC's Radio 1 Newsbeatk about her newfound fame from the gay community.

"It's a joy to wake up to social media in the morning," she said. "The amount of kindness and fun that I'm reading is just a joy."

Though she's been in the porn industry for eight years and has been posting photos and videos to her Twitter, it wasn't until November that she started going viral thanks to the mostly NSFW memes.

Talking about the videos she's seen More said of one fan: "There's one guy, he dressed exactly like me, he's got the top I wore, red lipstick, blue eyeshadow, all my jewelry... it's amazing."

One gay fan spoke with Radio 1 about his viral tweet, which features More saying, "I'm too expensive for you."

"Gay Twitter has launched her fame and I'm so here for it," Zac Barson told Radio 1. "Her sexual liberation is inspiring."

Speaking of her gay fandom, More said it is "the highest honor," especially in an industry that's often criticized.

"Because I'm an adult performer we can get nasty stuff said about us at times," she said. "That's part of the job. You learn to just block out the negativity. But this has been a really great online community of people just having a giggle and not taking ourselves so seriously."

More added that she feels like she needs to censor her content, making it PG, in case it goes viral.

"What I do is over-18. I wouldn't want what I do to get in the wrong hands," she told Radio 1."That's the thing with Twitter when you put it out there, it's got that freedom to go anywhere."

On top of that, the entertainer said she keeps in mind what her gay fans would like to see.

"I want straight guys to buy into the fantasy of this luxury woman they can't have," she said. "The funny thing is, straight guys love that and the gay guys love that too.

"So I'm winning!" Moore added.
