'Queer Eye' Star Jonathan Van Ness Announces Split with Boyfriend

"Queer Eye" star Jonathan Van Ness is starting 2019 as a single guy.

Van Ness, 31, announced he and his boyfriend Wilco Froneman have broken up after a few months of dating.

Taking to Instagram Sunday, the Netflix show's grooming guru shared a shirtless selfie and implied that Froneman, a 32-year-old rugby player, was unfaithful.

"Cheaters never prosper," he captioned the pic, according to Us Weekly, which reports he later changed the text and turned off commenting.

"She taught me love, she taught me patience, how she handles pain, that shits amazing," Van Ness wrote in his new caption, using lyrics from Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next." "I've loved and I've lost but that's not what I see because look what I found ain't no need for searching, rounding out my 2018 with a very gorg THANK U NEXT. #selflove.

"Please don't go in on Wilco, he doesn't need the anger & I don't want to see him suffer so just know I'm all good & sometimes people break up – Love you all so much," he added.

Us Weekly reports Van Ness then took to Instagram Stories with another message for his ex.

"I should've sat with myself a bit longer before I posted my most recent post," he reportedly wrote. "Wilco is a good person & sometimes things don't work out. Please don't attack him on his page. Just let us move on, heal and enjoy your gorgeous New Years celebration! Your girl Jonathan is just fine. Biggest hug."

The couple made their first public appearance in September on the red carpet of the 2018 Primetime Creative Arts Emmys, according to Us Weekly, where "Queer Eye" picked up three awards.

Van Ness isn't the only member of the Fab Five to recently go through a breakup. Food guy Antoni Porowski recently ended his seven year relationship and later started dating "Flipping Out" star Trace Lehnhoff.
