Two gay Australians recorded an incident in which they claim an Uber driver tossed them out of his car during a ride in Sydney, reported 9News.

According to Aaron Brown and Ryan Ottey, the driver told them, "Not in my car. I can't take you." His words came just after Ottey kissed Brown on the forehead, the men said. They allege that they were left stuck on a toll road.

Brown told 9News that he'd rested his head on Brown's shoulder. "He kissed me on the forehead and the driver immediately turned around and said, 'Not in my car, I'm not driving you anymore, get out of my car,' " Brown said, going on to say that the men were "dumbfounded."

When they asked the driver to explain his demand that they exit the vehicle, the driver told them, "I can't drive you anymore, this is my car and I'm not driving that," Brown related.

Ottey got out his cellphone and began taking video.

9News reported that in the video the driver seems to say, "I don't want to take you. You can book another cab."

British newspaper the Daily Mail reported on the story, noting that Ottey reported the encounter with Uber and was less than satisfied with the response.

"This isn't the regular Uber experience, and you shouldn't have to put up with this kind of inappropriate behavior," Uber told the two. "I will be looking into this trip and taking the appropriate steps to ensure this experience doesn't continue."

But the men opined that Uber should have phoned them to check on their safety.

The company told 9News that Uber "does not tolerate any form of discrimination," and added, "At Uber, we try to reflect the diversity of the cities we serve and we're proud to roll out Rainbow Routes during Mardi Gras weekend to show our support for the LGBTQI community."
