Continuing to build on the nostalgia factor, one of the most beloved toy lines ever created returns to the movies. "The LEGO� Movie 2: The Second Part," available now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD for home viewing, sees the filmmakers who brought us the original blockbuster hit reassemble the all-star comedic cast from the first film. This brightly whimsical sequel pushes the boundaries of the imagination and reminds us that playtime is eternal.
After rescuing the citizens of Bricksburg from their fate, Emmet (voiced by "Guardian of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt) must test his Master Builder skills when a new threat invades their expansive metropolis – in the form of LEGO� DUPLO� – the pre-school brand of LEGO� toys! Emmet and Lucy, a.k.a. the adventures Wyldstyle (voiced by Elizabeth Banks), don't know what to make of the all too happy and larger size bricks that appear determined to destroy their world. The multiple attacks plunge Bricksburg into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Although everything appears dark and dusty, Emmet is undeterred. To him, everything is still awesome, but when the mysterious masked General Mayhem snatches his friends - including Lucy and The Batman (Will Arnett voices the star of the spin-off "The LEGO Batman Movies") - it turns out Mayhem is an emissary of Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi (voiced by Tiffany Haddish), a (perhaps) ruthless dictator who is determined to force the two worlds into a marriage pact that will tip the scales of power in the LEGO� world.
Full of incredibly vivid animation, wonderfully comedic moments, and unexpectedly enthusiastic musical numbers, "The LEGO� Movie 2: The Second Part" is truly as awesome as you can imagine, and will most certainly inspire playtime fun that everyone can enjoy. Written the Academy Award-winning team that brought "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" to life, this movie is an absolutely perfect sequel to the first film and is packed with bonus features, including Deleted Scenes, Music Videos and Behind-the-Scenes features on how the film was pieced together.
