Watch: Zac Efron's Ted Bundy Film Gets Release Date on Netflix, New Trailer

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

"Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile," the film about serial killer Ted Bundy starring Zac Efron, will be hitting Netflix very soon.

A new trailer from the streaming service reveals the movie will be on the platform on May 3.

According to Netflix, "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile" will focus on the crimes from Bundy but from the perspective of Liz (Lily Collins), his longtime girlfriend who did not believe he was behind the crimes he was accused of.

Directed by Joe Berlinger, the film also stars Kaya Scodelario, Jeffrey Donovan, Angela Sarafyan, Dylan Baker, Brian Geraghty, Terry Kinney, Haley Joel Osment, James Hetfield, Grace Victoria Cox with Jim Parsons and John Malkovich.

"Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile" debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and already received some criticism as some though the tone of the previous trailer was too upbeat, making Bundy look something of an anti-hero.

Not long after that, the official Netflix Twitter account called out people who were tweeting that they found Bundy attractive after watching a Netflix miniseries about the criminal that came from Berlinger. Nevertheless, the company then purchased "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile" for $9 million.

For what it's worth, the new trailer from Netflix makes that seem a lot darker. Check out the trailer below.
