DC's Legends Of Tomorrow: The Complete Fourth Season

Legends – of their own making!

Don't call them heroes – at least not yet. But they're certainly getting there. In "DC's Legends of Tomorrow - The Complete Fourth Season," available now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital, the "middle child" of The CW superhero primetime super-powered block is still trying to figure things out. This 2-disc set features all 16 episodes of the fourth season, starring Caity Lotz as Sara Lance, the White Canary, and Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, the Atom, joined this season by a certain magus!

Joining the Legends aboard their time-ship, The Waverider, is none other than occult specialist John Constantine; actor Matt Ryan returns to the role that he (pleasantly) hasn't been able to shake off. The Legends pooled all of their resources at the end of last season to defeat the magical beast called Mallus, but in the process unleashed a horde of supernatural critters that have escaped and threaten to alter the fabric of time. With the Time Bureau on their asses, deputy director Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) has no choice but to toe the line.

It takes a little more supervision that the Legends are accustomed to, but these cut-ups are constantly sticking their boots into it and just when things are looking up. This season Sara and Ava are getting much closer – trouble has a way of dropping in on them! Constantine needs their help to return all the magical beings to their rightful places, while unseen forces conspire to tear the Legends apart from the inside. Courtney Ford reprises her role as Nora Darhk, who may hold the secret to their survival in a rollercoaster ride of a season!

With the trinity of heroes Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, busy battling villains "Elseworlds," the Legends decidedly sat out this year's big crossover event, which allowed the storyline to move along at a natural pace without any distractions. The sometimes ostracized Legends don't play by the same rules as the other DC series set in the "Arrowverse" – the writers have the freedom to play a little more loosely and inject a lot more camp and comedy, amidst all the comic book action allowing "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" to find their own footing and march to their own beat.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea - battling psychotic killer unicorns in the season opener was unexpected - but the Legends have a mysterious way of pulling rabbits out of their hats... and with their luck, these rabbits, if let loose, may change history, leading them into a proverbial "crisis" from which there's no return! The chemistry amongst the cast is still working, and the inclusion of Matt Ryan's sexy mystic is a welcome addition, but perhaps the series might benefit from suiting the group up more often and letting their costumed alter-egos take on some super villains.

The two-disc Blu-ray features all 16 episodes of the legendary fourth season, and includes some exclusive bonus content fans can't get anywhere else, including outtakes and deleted scenes. The package also comes with two behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the show from the imaginative storytelling process to the post-production that brings these legends to life! Add "DC's Legends of Tomorrow - The Complete Fourth Season" to your collection now, and gear up for the upcoming new season of The CW super powered heroes lineup.
