About 15 years ago Harold Prince appeared at Harvard University to talk about his career and musical theater. At the time Prince, then in his mid-70s, was every inch the vigorous visionary he had been since he broke on the Broadway scene in the early 1950s, and for more than hour gave one of the most lucid explanations of the musical and the role he played in the genre's evolution.
