Singer Ricky Garcia Accuses Manager of Sexual Assault

Ricky Garcia, of the boy band Forever in Your Mind, has filed a lawsuit against his former manager for repeated sexual assault over a period of years. The accusations include drugging and repeated rape.
The suit alleges that manager Joby Harte raped Garcia, 20, while representing him, beginning when Garcia was 12 years old.
Garcia's attorneys Michael S. Popok and Ben Meiselas released a statement about the suit, saying:
"Mr. Garcia has bravely stepped forward to join the #metoo movement, to reclaim his dignity and declare that victims like him must be heard."
The suit, which was filed in L.A. County Superior Court Tuesday, is seeking punitive and compensatory damages.
"Sadly, I know my experience is just one of many and I hope my actions today will help others who experienced abuse to know that they are not alone and that there are people in the world fighting for them."
