There's always drama with the participants on TLC's "90 Day Fianc," so it wasn't all that surprising to see it crop up with Aladin Jallali and his wife Laura Jallali, who were part of the cast to "90 Day Fianc: The Other Way." But it is rare that LGBTQ questions are raised on this decidedly hetero-oriented series. Why the producers haven't had a same-sex couple on the show is curious, but for discussion elsewhere. (
But on the current season of "90 Day Fianc" target="_blank"> The Other Way," one of the series successful spin-offs, one of the participants – 51-year old Laura, who comes from Florida, has accused her husband, Aladin, 29, from Qatar, of being gay.
On this spin-off, Americans pursue marriage with someone from another country, heading to their homeland to marry. Laura met Aladin on Facebook. Eight months later, Laura flew to Qatar to meet Aladin; within days, they were engaged. They married in an elaborate 3-day ceremony in Aladin's homeland Tunisia, but things unraveled soon after and in recent weeks became ugly.
In an Instagram conversation that John Yates, who blogs about the show, had with Laura, she claims that Aladin is gay. "Some of the conversation is quite foul," reads Soapdish on the exchange. "In one, Laura Jallali told the person she was chatting with on Instagram DM that her soon-to-be-ex "hates a woman" s="" p***y".="" And="" she="" made="" clear="" it="" was="" all="" women,="" not="" just="" her.="" She="" also="" alleged="" he="" left="" her="" because="" she="" wouldn't="" give="" him="" a="" green="" card..."
Laura claims "Aladin Jallali fast forwards through porn that shows oral sex on a woman. If that wasn't enough, the next message was direct and said 'i am sure Aladdin likes men better'. Then she said she was a 'good cover' for him to convince his family that "he wasn't gay". Then '90 Day Fianc' target='_blank'> The Other Way's' Laura added that she connected the dots and 'he likes men much better'," reads the Soapdish reports.
On the show, the couple referred to their sexual relations as "Jiggy-jiggy," but it was also apparent that Laura wasn't satisfied with their sexual relationship. Earlier this season she gave Aladin a vibrator in hopes they could add it to their sexual practices, but it only angered him.
In another conversation,
"He told me men in his work have sex in the shower," she noted. "And guess who always had a shower at work even though our home was 20 ft away".
Laura, who has relocated to Ecuador, also claimed she was pregnant (she was not) and "leaked a picture online of herself with a black eye that " 90="" Day="" Fianc="" 'fans="" believe="" is="" a="" fake="" concocted="" with="" makeup."="" In="" an="" interesting="" twist,="" Laura="" was="" spotted="" in="" Ecuador="" with="" Evelin="" Villegas,="" seemingly="" partying="" it="" up="" after="" her="" split="" from="" Aladin="" Jallali,="" . Villegas was also a contestant on this year's season who also ended her relationship with her prospective husband Corey.
"Evelin Villegas and Laura Jallali seem to have joined forces in Ecuador in order to move on from their respective love interests. In an Instagram live video, Jallali and Villegas seemed to confirm that they've split from Aladin and Corey. They claimed they are hanging out 'together mending their broken hearts.'
"Some fans were surprised not only to see the two together but to see them discussing their' 90 Day Fianc' relationships so freely before they're fully clear of their seasons. Jallali could be breaking her NDA with TLC by discussing her relationship status with Aladin Jallali.
the website Champion Daily reports that "Aladin was quick to respond to the rumors. During a Q&A session, and blamed their lack of bedroom passion on Laura's hygiene."
"I am not gay," he told fans, according to screenshots posted in a Reddit thread dedicated to the show. "FYI...just because you refuse to eat bad sushi, doesn't mean you don't like fish."
"He also posted a similar quote to his personal Instagram page," reads the Champion Daily report, "adding the hashtag 'fresh not fishy' to further highlight his point. The post garnered support from a number of Aladin's fans."
