READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Selena Gomez is back.
The pop star is returning with new music this week, releasing the single "Lose You to Love Me" and its accompanying music video.
Gomez co-wrote the track along with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, who worked on her songs "Hands to Myself," "Bad Liar" and more. Mattias Larsson and Robin Fredriksson also get writing credits with production by Mattman & Robin and Finneas.
"This song was inspired by many things that have happened in my life since releasing my last album," Gomez said in a statement sent to EDGE. "I thought it was important to share the music, as I know many can relate to the fact that the road to self-discovery generally comes through the scars in one's life.
"I want people to feel hope and to know you will come out the other side stronger and a better version of yourself," she added.
Directed by Sophie Muller, the black-and-white "Lose You to Love Me" music video was shot on the new iPhone 11 Pro.
Her new song is off her upcoming third solo album. Her last album "Revival" was released back in 2015.
