Grindr Who's Eminem for Using App in New Meme
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
The official Twitter account for the gay dating app Grindr took time to call out rapper Eminem for using the service in a new meme.
If you've been online in the last week, you've probably noticed celebs and your friends participating in a new meme that features four photos of themselves, each pic representing a profile photo for a different social media service: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder. Check out Dolly Parton's post for an example:
Eminem, who surprised released a new album last week, decided to partake in the meme, sharing snaps of himself for the apps but switching Tinder for Grindr. For that slot, the 47-year-old musician shared a photo of himself completely naked where he's seen holding a stick of lit dynamite that is covering his penis. Sharing the meme on social media, Eminem captioned the post, "Did I do this right?"
It didn't take long before Grindr reacted to his take on the meme. The Twitter account for the dating app retweeted news about his post, simply writing, "Who?"
Eminem has long come under fire for lyrics deemed homophonic. In 2017, he said in an interview with Vulture that he used Tinder and Grindr to find dates but a publicist later confirmed he was joking.
