Matt Bomer Responds to Viral Meme Making Fun of Ryan Murphy's Leading Men

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Out actor Matt Bomer took to social media Tuesday to react to the viral meme that's currently circulating on Twitter, which makes fun of the cast of Ryan Murphy's TV series "American Horror Story: Hotel."

The tweet shows photos of five men: Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield, and Wes Bentley, who all appeared in the 2015 season. The Twitter user @vintagehols added, "I could not name one of these men if someone put a gun to my head."

Many Twitter users were quick to like and retweet the message, noting that the five actors are all conventionally attractive white men.

But Bomer took the time to reply to the viral tweet and had some fun with it.

"I love all of these men and their unique talents," he wrote. "But if you're going to line us up and objectify us every few months like Ryan Murphy's person of a Hitchcock blonde...then I've got dibs on Grace Kelly."

Bomer is referring to director Alfred Hitchcock, who was known for casting beautiful blonde women, including Grace Kelly ("Rear Window") and Tippi Hedren ("The Birds").

Bomer also tagged his fellow actors Jackson, Greenfield and Wittrock. He followed up by asking for donations to CenterLink, which aims to help over 250 LGBTQ community centers across the world who are struggling during the current pandemic.

"While you're figuring out who's who click on this link and donate to CenterLink and support LGBTQ youth around the country who need a place to live, eat, and find safety right now. Even 50 cents helps!" he tweeted.
