The long-running FX anthology series "American Horror Story," which will enter its 10th season, is getting a spinoff.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy took to social media Monday to reveal that he's working on "American Horror Stories," a new series that will have one-hour-long contained episodes, which sound similar to "The Twilight Zone," "Black Mirror" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents."
Sources told Deadline the new show will be a companion to "AHS" where each episode is a standalone story – just like each season of "AHS" (mostly). The outlet also reports "American Horror Stories" will air on FX.
Murphy revealed the show in a post about a zoom call with the cast of "AHS," in which "we reminisced about the good times...when we will start filming the next season of the mothership...and other stuff I cannot print."
"It was so much fun and I'm glad we caught up. I miss everyone!" he added.
The proper "AHS" has been renewed on FX through Season 13. Due to the coronavirus pandemic halting Hollywood productions, its unclear at the planned "AHS" Season 10 will air this fall in its usual time slot.
