'F– both of you' Tweets Lilly Wachowski to Elon & Ivanka

"F– both of you!" was Lilly Wachowski's tweeted response to Elon Musk and Ivanka Trump after both made reference to her 1999 film "The Matrix," Musk has been at odds with the state of California about reopening his Tesla plants there, calling stay-at-home orders "facist" (sic) and threatening to move his company" s="" headquarters="" to="" another="" state.
The tweet battle began when Elon Musk told his 34.3 million followers to "take the red pill." He followed the tweet wth "a meme featuring Laurence Fishburne's character from 'The Matrix' with the caption, 'Did you seriously take both pills? WTF is wrong with you?' Of the photo, Musk wrote: 'When you take Dayquil & NyQuil at the same time,'" the THR reports continues.
"In the film, the character Morpheus (Fishburne) offers Neo (Keanu Reeves) the option to take a blue pill if he wants to return to his life or take a red pill if he wants to learn the truth about the Matrix. The 'red pill' line has seemingly taken a new meaning online to represent leaning toward conservative political beliefs."
Ivanka Trump responded to Musk with a single word:
Less than an hour later, Wachowski responded.
Warner Bros. is set to reboot "The Matrix," with Wachowski's sister, Lana Wachowski, directing and Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss both returning. The Wachowskis collaborated on the original films together.
"The new pic is scheduled for release on May 21, 2021, but it is unclear whether the production's shutdown due to the novel coronavirus will necessitate postponing the date," adds THR.
"Wachowski, a trans woman, also responded with a tweet to support the Brave Space Alliance, which is the first black-led, trans-led LGBTQ Center located on the South Side of Chicago," reports Deadline. "It is dedicated to creating and providing affirming resources, programming, and services for LGBTQ individuals. The Trump administration has taken steps to ensure that laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex do not cover a person discriminated against for being gay or transgender. In addition, Trump has also implemented a ban on transgender people serving openly in the military."
