Watch: Madonna Slammed for Video of Son Dancing to Michael Jackson to Honor George Floyd
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Madonna weighed in on the death of security guard George Floyd and was quickly slammed on social media for doing so.
"As anger grew at footage showing a police officer kneeling on Floyd's neck as he died, the singer Thursday tweeted a two-minute clip of her adopted son, David Banda, dancing to Michael Jackson's song 'They Don't Care About Us,'"

In the video the 14-year old Banda shows some slick dance moves while moving about in what appears to be the kitchen in Madonna's home.
Madonna adopted Banda from Malawi, in 2006 when he was 13 months old.
A well-intentioned as the post was, it only left some wondering if it was her son's audition for "America's Got Talent." And it clearly backfired, if Twitter is to be believed:
It was the latest blunder from the musical superstar while she posting her feelings about the COVID-19 pandemic while quarantining. In late March she posted a video in which she called the coronavirus "the great leveler" as she set in a rose-pedaled bath.
It was a moment not lost on one Twitter subscriber.
