Watch: Netflix Drops Trailer for 'The Politician' Season 2

Netflix is sharing its first look at the new season of the Ben Platt comedy "The Politician," which finds the star going head-to-head with his new political rivals Bette Midler and Judith Light.
"Gloves off, claws out. Get ready for the spiciest and most iconic election battle in NYC history," Netflix writes of the show.
Indeed, there will be lots of political backstabbing in the new season of the Ryan Murphy series. The trailer shows us that Platt's character, Payton Hobart, is not holding back against his political foes and threatens his competition New York State Senate Majority Leader Dede Standish (Light) when he finds evidence that she is in a throuple.
"Evil little troll," Dede calls Payton in the trailer.
But Dede and her chief of staff Hadassha (Midler), have some tricks up their sleeve. Watch the hilarious trailer below to find out what they're planning.
