Review: 'Jack Ryan - Season Two' is Full of Nail-Biting Adventure Perfect For Binging

John Krasinski is back in the Amazon Prime Original Series "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan" Season Two available now on Blu-ray. Krasinski is making the role his own, as the CIA operative with an analytical mind and penchant for getting himself into the thick of things. The Second Season of the show has Ryan following an intricate network of circumstances that land him in the South America. An illegal arms deal is taking place and it will undoubtedly shift the balance of power. One thing leads to another and ultimately it all becomes a game of cat and mouse!

Wendell Pierce returns as James Greer and Michael Kelly ("House of Cards" fame) joins the cast, as a new ally. Naomi Rapace, no stranger to the genre, plays an international operative with a mysterious agenda; exactly whose side she's on is anyone's guess, but chances are that if Jack Ryan doesn't untangle this web of lies, it's a conspiracy that threatens the stability of the world's super powers, with the President of Venezuela playing loose and the country on the edge of total collapse. After a spectacular First Season, it's always a challenge for a new series to keep up the momentum, but Season Two does a reasonably incredible job of pushing the envelope, and the addition of an exciting new array of cast members is a definite highlight. Krasinski is a natural fit for the role, which requires a certain degree of brain power and muscle to make Ryan a hero for today. He's as quick with a computer as he is with a gun, and approaches it all with an intelligence that is indeed his secret weapon!

The production quality has all the ear-marks of a Hollywood blockbuster thriller, and doesn't skip on taking chances! There are moments of breathless anticipation, and the explosively thrilling danger, and the international setting of the show is exceptionally all-encompassing!

The Blu-ray package includes all eight Second Season episodes and comes packed with Deleted Scenes.
