Watch: Lyft Passenger Uses Racist, Homophobic Slurs After Driver Asks Him to Wear a Mask

A Lyft ride turned ugly fast when a non-masked passenger was asked to put one on by his driver.

The incident, reported by TMZ, occurred on May 28 in Reno, Nevada and has gone public thanks to the driver, identified as Edgar, who recorded the encounter.

Passenger, identified as Richard, gets in the car without wearing a face mask. Edgar asks if he has one but Richard replies he hasn't.

"Can you believe that shit?" Richard says.

Edgar replies he does because he has sick family members. At which time Richard puts his hands over his mouth.

"After some bickering over the mask, the virus and the driver's route, the passenger starts making fun of the driver's accent and starts unleashing racial slurs,"
