Netflix Renews 'Dead to Me' for Third and Last Season

READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Good news: "Dead to Me," starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, will return for a third season on Netflix.

Bad news: It will be the show's last season.

The announcement came as Netflix revealed a multi-year partnership with Liz Feldman, the creator of "Dead to Me," Entertainment Weekly reports.

"From start to finish, 'Dead To Me' is exactly the show I wanted to make," Feldman said in a statement. "And it's been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I'll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting 'Dead To Me' from day one, and I'm thrilled to continue our collaboration."

"Dead to Me" Season 2 hit Netflix in May. Applegate earned an Emmy nominate for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on the show last year.

It's unclear when the new season will be filmed and when it will hit Netflix.
