Lil Nas X Talks Coming Out, Dating Life & Shows Off Bod Ahead of New Music Vid

As Lil Nas X gears up to release new music, the out rapper is opening up a bit about his personal life.

The "Old Town Road" hit maker is on the cover of the newest issue of Carine Roitfeld's magazine "CR Men" (the issue is out on Oct. 9) where he talked about his newfound fame and who he is dating. In 2019, Lil Nas X came out as gay during Pride Month and now revealed his father "said some very Christian things" including that being gay "could be the devil tempting" him, according to People magazine.

"It sucks," he said. "But I guess I saw it coming."

Nevertheless, Lil Nas X, 21, revealed he is no longer single.

"I'm dating someone right now," he said. "We're not in a relationship yet, but it's been on and off for the past few months. I'm maybe going to try to go steady this time."

He added:

"I feel like if I put any guy solo in a picture with me, we're automatically dating One time, I was sitting in Subway with my brother, and then a few hours later there was [a headline], 'Lil Nas X and his boyfriend eating Subway to celebrate 17 weeks at number one.' "

Lil Nas X has also been teasing new music for some time now (his Twitter bio says his album is "98% done") and he's been gearing up to release his song "Call Me By Your Name" since this summer. Taking to Twitter Friday, the musical shared a photo of himself in the dance studio, writing, "gettin in shape for the call me by your name video." On Instagram he added he's "gettin in shape for the biggest era of my life thus far."
