Stay clear of the shadows!

In the heart of every city, there are monsters that lurk in the darkest corners, but not all monsters are out for blood and some are keeping a closer eye on their prey, making sure the innocent aren't caught in their sites. It's a dog-eat-dog world, but what happens when a predator emerges to tip the balance in a fight versus the evil that hunts at night? Wesley Snipes stars as "Blade!" The Marvel Comics vigilante that made a huge big-screen impression on fans in the late '90s returns now in a glorious 4K Ultra HD release.

Before the cinematic superhero boom of the last decade, Snipes stepped into fangs of "Blade," adapted from the Marvel Comics hero who is cursed to live as a super-powered mutant, half-man and half-vampire. Using his extreme hyper-senses and strength, Blade emerges as a protector of the weak when the dangerously power-hungry Deacon Frost (played by Stephen Dorff) embarks a plan to keep himself and his kind on top of the food chain and enslave humankind as a little more than cattle. Blade stands between us and the vampire's army.

"Blade" proved a hearty and successfully franchise with Snipes in the lead role, producing to more installments. The 4K Ultra HD presentation provides the best picture quality for a phenomenal home theater experience, and also features a Dolby Atmos soundtrack that enhances the sound and puts you in the middle of the action. Featuring some incredible stunts and exciting special effects, that are comparable to "The Matrix" (although that film wouldn't hit theaters for another year), "Blade" satisfies expectations and holds up very well.

With the success of the series of Marvel Studio films since, and the expanding cinematic universe, there have been discussions that "Blade" is among the next franchise that will get a reboot, similar to the success of the new Spider-Man starring Tom Holland, which gives fans hope that Blade will be once again on the hunt. Whether Wesley Snipes will be brought on board to portray the anti-hero is a whole another story, but surely he may be brought on to the project in some way, shape, or form.

The 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray includes all the legacy special features (previously released) that put the hero into context; from his controversial introduction into the Marvel Comics universe, to the decision to bring him to the big screen, and the fandom attributed to "horror-genre" comics. You can also listen along to commentary from the filmmakers on the 4K Ultra HD, as well as original theatrical trailers for "Blade" on the big screen. "Blade," available now on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital combo packs, is a worthy addition to your Marvel movie collection.

"Blade" is available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital for $24.99.
