Joe Manganiello Teases Electric Blue Mohawk Ahead of 'Zach Snyder's Justice League'
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
"Time to go to work," said Joe Manganiello as he started his workout and posted an Instagram on Wednesday morning.
What made it different than any other day was that the actor, best-known as Big Dick Richie inthe "Magic Mike" films, or Alcide Herveaux, the gentle-hearted werewolf fromHBO's "True Blood," was sporting an electric blue Mohawk.
"While it's unclear who deserves credit for creating the perfect blue color, Joe's new hairstyle comes ahead of his role as Deathstroke in Zach Snyder's 'Justice League,'" writes E! News.
Last month Collider reported that Manganiello will reprise his role as Deathstroke for "Zack Snyder's Justice League" for HBOMax. The four hour-long episodes will consist of unused footage from the 2017 film and new footage currently being shot. "Deathstroke, aka Slade Wilson, appeared in a post-credits scene in 2017's 'Justice League' that saw him recruited by Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor," Collider writes.
Reshoots are currently under way, with Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher and Amber Heard back as Batman, Cyborg and Mera, and Jared Leto slated to return as The Joker from "Suicide Squad." "Meanwhile," Collider reports, "Henry Cavill's Superman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman were noticeably absent from the report, and Cavill has explicitly told Collider that he won't be shooting anything new for the four-hour HBO Max series."
Between the mohawk and the salt-and-pepper goatee, the 43-year old actor is virtually unrecognizable, observed Yahoo Entertainment. But, they add, "Manganiello's photo features at least one recognizable aspect: some seriously muscular arms peeking out of his gym tank."
More recently he was seen with a blonde do on Instagram.
