Tuesdays with the Conways: A Hacked Account, a Nude Pic, Police, Accusations and an Apology

The ongoing battle between Kellyanne Conway and her 16-year old daughter Claudia came to a head this week with a visit from the local police, nasty accusations about a social media posting of a nude photo of Claudia, and a daughter's apology to her mother.

"Police in New Jersey have launched an investigation into a topless photo of Kellyanne Conway's 16-year-old daughter that was posted to former Trump aide's Twitter on Monday," writes the Daily Mail.

Claudia had accused her mother, the former aide to ex-President Donald Trump, of having posted the photo on Twitter's new Fleets feature, which deletes the photo after 24-hours. Claudia apologized to her mother on Tuesday in a TikTok saying that Kellyanne "would never intentionally do that" and her mother's account "was probably hacked."

Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and Alpine Police Department sent four police officers to Conway's New Jersey mansion on Tuesday. In a statement to DailyMail.com, Alpine Police Chief Christopher Belcolle confirmed that a probe into the apparent leak is underway.

"An investigation is being conducted. No additional information can be released," Belcolle said.

A Twitter rep told Variety the company is investigating the incident.

"On TikTok, Claudia Conway on Monday posted videos confirming that the picture was authentic; those have since been deleted from her TikTok account but Twitter users reposted copies of the videos," writes Variety. "In the videos, a visibly upset Claudia Conway speculated that her mother may have accidentally posted the image. 'I'm assuming my mom took a picture of it to use against me one day and then somebody hacked her or something,' she said. 'I'm literally at a loss for words. If you see it, report it.'"

The Daily Mail writes that Claudia warned her mother she was "going to f***ing jail" for uploading the image.

The latest skirmish came after the teen threatened "to release 'hours and hours' of footage which she alleged proves Kellyanne is an 'abusive' mother," adds the DM. "Police also visited the Conway family home on January 20 in response to a 'juvenile matter', after the claims of abuse were made."

In a number of TikTok on Tuesday, Claudia said she had acted "irrationally," saying her mother would "never intentionally" post anything to harm her. "I have faith and I know my mother would never put something like that on the internet, same with me," Claudia said in one clip. "My mother and I, we fight like mothers and daughters but we also love like mothers and daughters and I do love her."

She added in a separate post: "Yesterday when I was made aware of the situation, I was distraught and reacted very irrationally and impulsively and it's something that I do regret."

She also added she wanted her 1.6 million followers to stop contacting authorities and "inciting violence and hate" against her family. "Please stop calling authorities because it only hurts us, more than it helps us – making threats, and what not, is really putting my safety at risk and putting me in danger," she said.

The Daily Mail adds that Claudia she and Kellyanne are both taking time away from social media to "work on [their] relationship offline."

"I will be taking a break because social media is a really dark place. So instead of shedding light on this situation, hate and violence was incited. And that was never ever my intention, nor my mom's.

"We will not be dealing with this on social media anymore, and we are both going to take breaks [from social media] to work on our relationships because we do love each other, very, very, very much. And we would never intentionally try to hurt each other – especially not in the public eye."

George Conway, Kellyanne's husband and Claudia's father, tweeted his daughter's TikTok statement at her request.
