One of the year's biggest hits may not be which film walks away with the Oscar, but the teaser that Steven Spielberg put forth of his highly anticipated remake of "West Side Story."

The original Broadway production opened in New York City in 1957 but was essentially snubbed from the Tony Awards the following year, losing out on the coveted Best New Musical award to "The Music Man."

The film version, released in 1961, swept the Oscars, though, winning 10 awards, including Best Picture.

Steven Spielberg's remake, expected to be released in December, features a revised screenplay by Tony Kushner ("Angels in America") and stars Ansel Elgort as Tony, Rachel Zegler as Maria, Ariana DeBose (the film version of "The Prom") as Anita, and David Alvarez as Bernardo. IMDB lists the budget at a staggering $100 million.
