Are you ready for a gay Flash? Rumors are swirling that The CW is looking to add more LGBTQ representation to its hit show "The Flash" with an "LGBT Flash" in the cast.

As reported by We Got This Covered, showrunners might be looking to introduce a new character who identifies as part of the LGBTQ community, instead of turning an existing character on the show gay.

"That's all we know for now, but it looks like the network has plans to bring us another speedster member of Team Flash who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community," WGTC reports. "This follows on from DC Comics introducing a non-binary Flash from an alternate universe and it's feasible that The CW even intends to adapt this same character to the screen."

Fans have taken note that every DC show on The CW has at least one queer character except the "The Flash."

Ruby Rose was famously cast as the lesbian lead in "Batwoman," before leaving the show and being replaced by Javicia Leslie.

Transgender actor Nicole Maines made headlines as the first the first transgender superhero on primetime television in "Supergirl."

There there is CW"s general LGBTQ representation in shows such as "Riverdale," "Nancy Drew" and more.

A gay character on "The Flash" would make a nice addition to the mix. Will you be watching?

"The Flash" season 7 returns for new episodes on Tuesday, May 4.
