Watch: Anne Heche Claims Ellen Didn't Want Her to 'Dress Sexy' at Red Carpet Event

Anne Heche, who dated Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 through 2000, surveyed what she called her "Iconic Red Carpet Looks" in a TikTok. Just Jared reports that the actress gave one ensemble - the outfit she wore when attending the Golden Globes with DeGeneres in 1998 - a "0" rating, explaining that she "look[ed] like a hippie" at the event "because Ellen didn't want me to dress sexy."
In the TikTok, Heche appears before backdrops that show her at various events as she gives a running commentary, complete with thumbs up/thumbs down and numerical ratings.
Praising one red Prada outfit, Heche gives her look a 7 out of 10. She awards herself a 10 out of 10 for an Oscars appearance in which she wore Versace. She dismisses one look in which her hair is "explosive," saying that it was raining at the event and her 'do went "frizzy," and assigns that look a 2 out of 10.
Garnering a special "rainbow icon" instead of a number is a photo in which Heche says she went "inside out, upside down, and backwards for gay rights and human rights - I am the flag!" The Pride flag, that is; the image shows Heche in a shimmering multi-colored creation, The photo is emblazoned with "#DWTS" - presumably for "Dancing with the Stars" - and part of the logo for the ABC television network, which airs the reality competition program.
In the photo of Heche and DeGeneres, both are dressed in dark blue clothing, with Heche wearing round, tinted glasses. Heche offers a thumbs down, blows a raspberry, and says, "Bye."
After breaking up with DeGeneres, Heche "married Coleman Laffoon in September 2001 and they welcomed a son named Homer in 2002," Just Jared recalls. "They split in 2007 and she began a relationship with actor James Tupper, with whom she welcomed son Atlas in 2009. They split in 2018."
Wikipedia notes that DeGeneres began a relationship with Australian actress Portia de Rossi in 2004. They married in 2008.
