"True Blood" breakout star and "Godzilla vs. Kong" actor Alexander Skarsgard has signed on to HBO's "Succession" season 3, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Skarsgard will reportedly play tech CEO Lukas Matsson, whose company gets caught up with the fighting Roy family. He is described as a "successful, confrontational tech founder and CEO."

"Season 3 of 'Succession' opens with Brian Cox's media tycoon Logan Roy in a perilous position after being ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) at the end of season 2," reports Entertainment Weekly. "Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war."

With COVID-19 vaccinations helping to ease gathering restrictions, the crew was recently spotted filming scenes for season 3 in East Hampton, New York.
