In a moment caught on video, singer-songwriter Kid Rock hurls a homophobic epithet onstage at a Tennessee bar last Saturday night, June 5, Billboard reports.
"Rock is calling out crowd members filming him at FishLipz Bar & Grill in Smithville, Tennessee, when he yells, "You f---ing f-----s with your iPhones out!" reads the Billboard article, adding, "He also sings in the video, 'You can post this di-- right here,' while grabbing his crotch and looking right at the camera."
TMZ posted the clip along with a description of the scene at the bar that evening.
"We're told security at the joint was going around telling people to put down their phones," the TMZ article says, "but Kid Rock decided to take matters into his own hands."
"Back in November 2019, Rock was removed from the stage of the Honky Tonky bar in Nashville when he went on an explicit tirade against Oprah Winfrey, saying she could "suck a di-- sideways," recalled Billboard.
"And in 2018, the rocker was booted from the Nashville Christmas parade lineup following profane remarks he made about then-View host Joy Behar during an appearance on Fox & Friends."
"While Kid Rock is a vocal Republican and conservative, he has previously said that he holds more liberal views on topics such as gay marriage," notes U.K. publication The Independent. "The video of Rock was widely circulated on Twitter, where his comments were condemned and mocked."
