Openly bisexual Australian star Hugh Sheridan came out as nonbinary in an Instagram post celebrating Sheridan and fiancé Kurt Roberts landing the cover of DNA magazine, news.com.au reported.

Sheridan is best known for the Australian comedy "Packed to the Rafters" and its upcoming sequel series, "Back to the Rafters."

"Eight months after the star announced they're attracted to both men and women, the 'Packed to the Rafters' actor told followers 'I AM still a human (non binary/bi/me/Hughman) but I'm in a monogamous relationship with another human, who I love.'"

The actor's June 26 post was followed by another in which Sheridan shared an image from the DNA photoshoot in which they were pictured alone, nude, and holding a strategically positioned towel.

"Personally I would've chosen this as the cover shot if the caption read 'Hugh Sheridan' @dnamagazine ... it was MY turn!" Sheridan wrote. "I only had to wait 15 years... whatever."

Speaking of the issue's cover, Sheridan joked, "I understand why @dnamagazine chose LOVE over... another pic of a guy with a towel."

This DNA cover marks Roberts' second. The model and social media influencer had already "posed half-naked on the cover of popular gay men's magazine DNA" for a previous issue, as the Daily Mail noted in February when the couple became a new item.

Since making their romance official, the couple has been burning up social media with sizzling posts displaying their affection for each other.

Their courtship quickly moved to a proposal. As the Daily Mail recalled, it was Sheridan who popped the question to Roberts "on stage during the first night of the Adelaide Fringe Festival in March."

"I went out and bought a ring and flew his family to be seated in the audience on the night. He had no idea," Sheridan shared at the time.

As the Daily Mail recounted, "After proposing, the loved-up pair shared a public embrace and a cheeky kiss before a besotted Hugh ran back on stage and said: 'I just got engaged!'

In the DNA magazine cover story, Sheridan allowed that they might accept a label given theirengagement, as noted by news.com.au. "Now I'm marrying a guy you can call me gay. Whatever!" they said.

As EDGE reported at the time, Sheridan came out as bi and expressed a dislike for labels in an essay they wrote for Stellar magazine in September 2020.

"I believe labels are for clothes, not for people," Sheridan declared.

It was a stance Sheridan reiterated earlier this month, writing, "I don't accept a label cause it limits me... if you want it; take it. I chose zero labels for no other reason except the exclusion, limitations, separation, I believe are all one, deeeeep down. &... who know? why chose?!! Be you. Be true. Be free: to BE, to JUST BE.. you, a human, same as me."
