Actor Tyler Posey Confirms He's Sexually Fluid, Responds To Queerbaiting Accusations
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Tyler Posey is opening up about his sexuality once again and he's also hitting back at those accusing him of queerbaiting.
Speaking with NME, the actor and musician discussed his personal life as well as his experiences with online bullying. Posey, who started an OnlyFans earlier this year, explained that after he said he's "been with men [as well as women]," a "really loud person online – I'm pretty sure it's only one person" – accused him of queerbaiting. Or, as the person put it: "Pretending to be gay to get money, essentially."
NME also noted that Posey has been dating alt-rock singer Phem and that he's still figuring out his sexuality but that she's helping him with that.
"I've been with everybody under the sun, and right now I'm in the best relationship that I've ever been in with a woman, and she's queer too," the "Teen Wolf" star shared. "She's helped me realize that I fit under the queer umbrella and that I'm sexually fluid, I guess. No, not 'I guess.' I don't want anyone to take this [interview] and be like: 'Well, he was kind of wishy-washy about it.'"
Posey went on to say it's "bizarre" that he's being accused of queerbaiting and that some of the hate he's gotten has turned violent, with people telling him that he should kill himself.
"And [the troll] made this one comment that kind of sparked me wanting to do something about cyberbullying," he told the magazine. "They said: 'I killed your mother' – like, this person actually claimed they killed my mother."
Posey added that he knew the comment was made to get a rise out of him.
"I'm sober now and I've been working a lot on my mental health, so I'm in a place where I can somewhat laugh at that kind of thing," he said. "But I know that other people who deal with this kind of shit may not be as strong mentally."
Elsewhere in the interview, Posey also talked about his struggle with addiction, being sober, his music, and much more. Click here to check out the full piece.
