Twitter Slams Kirstie Alley for Claiming Pedophilia is becoming Normalized

Kirstie Alley is feeling marginalized lately. Last month she appeared on "Tucker Carlson Today" to say her conservative political views left her feeling like she was living in�"The Twilight Zone," Deadline reported.

"People go, 'You're so brave.' I go, 'No, I think I'm stupid.' Because honestly... it is a real blackballing situation," she told Carlson. "It's so strange to me because artists are free-thinkers, for the most part."

Alley has claimed being conservative in Hollywood rises to a greater level of scrutiny than almost any other sin," Deadline continued.

"You can be cooking meth and sleeping with hookers, but as long as you didn't vote for Trump..." she said. "I feel like I'm in the 'Twilight Zone' a bit, with the whole concept of it."

Alley's conservative politics have put her under fire since she has publicly shown her support for Donald Trump. Though she had voted for Barack Obama twice, in 2016 she turned away from the Democrats, which she said has cost her support from her peers.

"On Twitter, I had many celebrities follow me, and now I think three follow me," she claimed. "I'm the same person. I'm the girl who voted for Obama, twice. And I'm like, 'Oh, so you liked me when I voted for Obama, and now you're this?"

And she shows no signs of holding back, as a series of tweets sent out on July 2 indicate in which Alley bemoaned television's new normal, claiming it contributes to what she sees as America's moral decline.

In a series of tweets on July 2, the former "Cheers" star wrote, "Was watching TV ...we've gone too far in my opinion. I feel sorry for our children. Their exposure to everything perverse on every kind of screen is mind boggling. And even more tragic, it's being hyped as 'normal'."

She didn't stop there. If Caligula were alive today, she claims, he would have been a culture hero. "No other generation has had such easy access to the underbelly of humanity. SO many screens & chronic bombardment of images and concepts. Our current society would have been praising Caligula. Protect your children."

Her rant continued with a third tweet: "I'm kinda on a roll but my heart's heavy with the shit that's being crammed down our kid's throats. A "moral code" is not old fashioned. Morals are simply guidelines for better survival. Explicit sexual "education" and "select" ideals being forced on kids is NOT better survival."

Alley then capped her tirade with a claim that the new moral climate makes pedophilia acceptable.

"People are becoming so 'open minded' that down the road they will support pediphilia as people 'just loving children'

"You think I'm kidding. I'm not. It's the direction this insanity is headed. You can "ok boomer" me all you want but this is where we will veer unless we change."
