Out Actor Joshua Bassett Reveals Celebrity Crush

Since coming out as queer, "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" star Joshua Bassett has become a lot more open about his thoughts on Hollywood, and now he is opening up again.

In a recent interview with Attitude Magazine, he shared that his celebrity crush growing up was Hillary Duff.

And, get this, she said shared that she was crushing on him, too.

"I really liked Agent Cody Banks and I wanted to be Agent Cody Banks, and also Hilary Duff's Hilary Duff," he told Attitude about the 2003 spy comedy. "So, like, you can imagine how that happens."

He added, "You know, you want to be Cody Banks and date Hilary Duff," he said. "It just makes sense."

When Bassett got to the opportunityt to meet Duff in person, she shared that the feeling is mutual.

"I met her by the way, and she told somebody that she has a crush on me too," Bassett said. "Because I told her that I had a crush on her my entire life. And she did tell the president of the Disney Channel that she had a crush on me too."

On coming out as queer, Bassett said "it was one of the easiest things I've ever done, and one of the most liberating things I've ever done."

He added, "I wasn't planning on talking about any of it and then there was a point where it kind of got bigger than me and I knew I had to acknowledge it," Bassett shared. "And I wrote the statement in less than five minutes."

And we are glad he did!
