Santino Rice Gets Push Back for Anti-Vaccination Tweets

Out fashion designer Santino Rice has been keeping a low media profile of late, but has gotten some attention for his anti-vaccination tweets.

Rice is known for being one of the finalists on the second season of "Project Runway" in 2005. Subsequently, he made appearances on "RuPaul's Drag Race," where he was a judge for the show's first six seasons, and his own reality show, "On the Road with Austin & Santino." He may be keeping a lower media profile, but has been getting attention of late for his controversial stance on vaccines, specifically the ones for COVID-19.

"Since early on in the pandemic, Rice has made his distrust of the information surrounding it apparent," reports Pride. In April 2020 he told Out Magazine that he was a victim of having been hacked due to a lost phone when a series of COVID-related tweets were sent out from his account.

"There is really no difference between injecting disinfectant or injecting a random vaccine," Rice said a tweet from his account. "This, I believe, is the silver lining. Make sure to let me know how wrong I am. But then do some research to prove me wrong."

He deleted the tweets at the time, but has since continued with anti-vaccine rhetoric. "As early as May, Rice was calling the virus at the center of the pandemic man-made, 'designed by European and American scientists and then delivered to China knowing very well that it would eventually spread outside the lab.' He continued in that vein saying it was made to be fatal and that "only supporting your natural, God-given immune system is the answer to staying healthy,' " Pride writes.

One tweet in particular was slapped with a misinformation tag. In it he wrote, "Ivermectin already existed and works for curing Covid-19.

Big Pharma hide this information to push their untested vaccines on a population of scared and innocent people.

The truth will see the light!"

Last Friday he posted a tweet that the program removed that read:

"NEVER GET THE COVID VACCINE!

"NEVER!

"YOU CAN FIND A NURSE OR PHARMACIST TO SQUIRT IT ON THE FLOOR!

"GENERATIONS OF HUMANS BEFORE YOU DID NOT NEED IT AND YOU DO NOT NEED IT!

"SUPPORT YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM NATURALLY!"

Following its removal, he tweeted: "YOU CAN'T CANCEL THE TRUTH."
