Watch: 'Schitt's Creek' Star Dan Levy on How 'Ew, David' Haunts Him

Dan Levy as David Rose on "Schitt's Creek" has turned the comedic actor into a household name. The show has also helped turn some of the show's favorite lines, such as "Ew, David!", into catchphrases.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the popularity of such catchphrases can be a blessing and a curse.

While visiting ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote the new "Schitt's Creek" book, "Best Wishes, Warmest Regards," Levy shared why the "Ew, David" catchphrase will haunt him forever.

"It's resulted in a sort of tagline that I think will haunt me for the rest of my life," Levy told Kimmel. "'Ew' is not necessarily something you want screamed at you in your most vulnerable time."

But the blessing, Levy says, is seeing people dress up as characters from the show on Halloween.

"If you dress people kind of the same for long enough, maybe if people end up watching your show, they will try to emulate that in a Halloween setting," Levy said.
