Did Lisa Rinna Just Jokingly Call Herself Harry Hamlin's 'Beard?'

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

When reality star Todd Chrisley was outed by a business associate last week, rumors began to fly as to who would be next. One such star is Harry Hamlin, who, coincidently, has been vocal about claiming that his role as a gay man in 1988's "Making Love" set back his film career.

The accusation was made by "Real Housewives of Orange County" contestant Kelly Dodd who joked on Page Six's Instagram Reel that "Harry Hamlin is 'next' after Todd Chrisley's alleged gay affair was revealed during the reality star's recent federal fraud trial."

Not to be undone by the accusation, Hamlin's wife Lisa Rinna, who is also a star of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," poked fun at Dodd's accusation on her Instagram Stories by posting "a photo of herself with a beard filtered onto her face," Page Six said, along with the caption "Good morning to kelly Dodd and Kelly Dodd only."

Rinna was probably referring to the term "beard," that the Urban Dictionary defines as: "A boy or girl hired as a celebrity's boyfriend/girlfriend by that celebrity's management, usually for publicity." The term has also been used to describe a person who masks another person's sexuality by being romantically involved with them.

It turns out that Rinna chose the pic for a reason. "It was taken during a notorious "RHOBH" cast dinner in Amsterdam in 2015, when she got into a wine-throwing fight over rumors about Hamlin's alleged affairs over the years."

Rinna has previously referred to the Hamlin rumors about his sexuality and alleged adulterous affairs in an Instagram post in 2020 when she posted a 1988 People Magazine cover that featured her husband as "The Sexiest Man Alive."

She wrote in the post: "#fbf Appreciation Post To my very busy Husband who apparently doesn't live with us, is having a lot of affairs, and is gay. Go Harry Fu*king Hamlin"
