'He's Never Touched Me' – Todd Chrisley Hits Back on Gay Accusations by Former Associate

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

During Todd and Julie Chrisley's bank fraud trial, Mark Braddock, the reality star's former business partner, testified that he had an affair with Todd. According to Cinema Blend, "Braddock said on the stand that he and Chrisley had an affair together and even paid off a blackmailer who allegedly was going to publicly rat them out. For Chrisley's part in things, his lawyer said in opening statements that Braddock had been 'obsessed' with the reality star and had lied about things, even perjuring himself."

Braddock is said to be the man who made the allegations to the FBI in 2012 after being fired. "Todd has alleged their financial situation is due to Braddock," Cinema Blend said. "Allegations of bank fraud and tax evasion arose after the reality stars apparently took out loans to live an extravagant lifestyle and then used new loans to pay the old loans."

Braddock claimed that he and Chrisley had been intimate for about a year during the 2000s and subsequently remained good friends until 2012, which is when the Chrisleys fired him. Braddock also claimed that he and Chrisley paid $38,000 to a blackmailer, who threatened to expose the purported affair.

Chrisley claims that Braddock admitting he was seeking revenge is the basis for the rumors about their alleged affair, claiming his former associate cannot be trusted. Chrisley said on his podcast, "This is the same person that claimed that he had a sexual relationship with me and that I didn't want to do it anymore. Well, that's the only honest thing that he said. He's never touched me. Never knew the man was, I guess, gay or bisexual, whatever he is. Who knows what he is because you can't believe anything that he's saying."

He added: "I know that punishment is coming, and maybe punishment is not the right word. I know that the truth will eventually rise to the top, and I know that we will have survived the lies because God has put that in my spirit. I'm filled with the Holy Spirit. I know, and I have a peace that God is working overtime. Satan will never outwork God."

Rumors about Chrisley being gay have persisted for some time. He addressed them as "flattering" during an appearance on "The Domenick Nati Show" and was seemingly fine with the curiosity the topic had generated, according to Cinema Blend in an earlier report.

"In order for it to disappoint me, it would mean that I don't agree with someone being gay. I don't believe that's a choice that you make. I believe that you are the way that God has made you," he said.

He also said at the time that Julie, his wife since 1996, was "flattered" men were interested in him as well as women, joking he'd "never have a drought."
