READ TIME: 1 MIN.
"Falling for Christmas," the upcoming Netflix holiday movie that features Lindsay Lohan in one of her most prominent acting role in years, now has its first trailer
Lohan plays Sierra, a spoiled hotel heiress who is recently engaged but gets amnesia after suffering a skiing accident. While trying to regain her memory, a blue-collar lodge owner Jake (Chord Overstreet) and his daughter take care of her in the days leading up to Christmas.
Before the trailer begins, Lohan offers a message to fans: "Happy Holidays, everyone. Christmas has come early this year and I come bearing gifts. Please enjoy the trailer for my new movie, 'Falling for Christmas.' "
As a child star, Lohan, 36, is best known for her roles like "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls." Her last major film role was in the 2013 Paul Schrader drama "The Canyons." Nevertheless, she recently revealed getting back into acting wasn't an issue.
"For me, my whole life, acting is like riding a bicycle. It's just in me. It's a part of me. Doing films, playing a character, it brings me so much joy to be able to share a story with people. To take people on that journey with me is such a blessing," she told the Hollywood Reporter.
